Well, This is an interesting thing. Basically, it turns your map graphics to mud or clay. It smooths walls rocks trees whatever, into solid colours which makes it easier to pick your opponent out, so basically easier to concentrate your aim. Supposedly it helps rendering quicker images and thus smoother game play. I don't know if this part is true or not.

STEP 1: Goto your C:\ijji directory. Then to gunz. And in there should be a file named: Config.xml

Step2: once located, right click on said file and open using note pad.

Step 3: Edit the fallowing so as to be like the provided material.

Step 4: Save, close >> play gunz with a strange new world of flat colours were characters and effects look stunning in contrast to the surroundings.

NOTE: When you use Archetypes, you must not edit anything in your options menu or it will instantly revert back to normal graphics. Though this makes it easy if you're tired of archetypes. So each time you want to edit something in Options, do so, then quit the game, go back and re-edit the Config.xml file and repeat the process.

I forgot to put this into the tutorial earlier, but anyway, if you keep Dynamic lighting turned on, you'll see a reddish hallow around some attacks. For instance, when fighting palmpoa(s) you'll see a red glow moving towards you instead of the ice attack. This actually extends to the full perimeter of its attack and therefor is easier to dodge. The setup I posted are the settings that Archetype used himself. Claytown is sometimes referred to as archetypes in regard to its founder. But you can play around with the different settings to achieve your own personal liking.
